Swine flu puts XSL players' participation on hold

CHICAGO (April 29, 2009) -- Four XSL players participating in the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships lost without ever playing a game.

The emergence of swine flu in Mexico prompted CONCACAF to postpone the tournament. Originally scheduled for today through Sunday in Puerto Vallarta, it has not yet been rescheduled.

XSL players involved are Detroit's Kyt Selaidopoulos and Milwaukee's Marco Terminesi and Giuliano Oliviero for Canada, and Chicago's Bayard Elfvin for the United States.
